Joni Woods is a relationship coach. That might sound like something couples and families need (and they do). But a business? Yes, indeed. We needed to build a stronger leadership team and that involved building stronger relationships between our leaders. Joni helped us along that journey both through formal training and one-on-one and two-on-one sessions to work on specific issues. She is very good at what she does and she was very helpful to us.

Rich Sheridan, Chief Storyteller, Menlo Innovations

Joni helped us to establish a shared vocabulary and understanding of different communication skills and how they can be helpful or harmful in expressing needs or concerns. I appreciated having time and space as a leadership team when working with her to learn these concepts and practice putting them to use.

Lisa Ho PMP CSM, Principal Project Manager, Menlo Innovations

I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Joni/ Journey Coaching to resolve co-worker conflicts and improve communication dynamics. Through Joni’s guidance, I learned to communicate effectively without placing blame, allowing each party to understand their communication styles and how certain trigger words may affect the other person.

The advice I received from Joni was invaluable. It enabled me to de-escalate tense situations, approach communication with empathy rather than a desire to win arguments, and focus on finding mutually beneficial resolutions. Joni’s insights encouraged me to listen more deeply, speak with greater sensitivity, and ultimately achieve resolutions that both parties could work with effectively. Working with Joni has truly transformed how I approach communication and conflict resolution in the workplace.

Joni Woods takes care.  She takes care of those around her, and if you’re in that circle, lucky you! I happen to benefit daily from her emotionally intelligent conversation, which includes both thoughtful questions and the space to respond.  This type of interaction is especially important in the workplace.  We all need a sounding-board when faced with tough situations or a weighty decision.  Joni provides just that, in a caring, competent manner.  Employees, and therefore employers, would gain much from having Joni on their side.

Jennifer Martinez, Weber’s Restaurant

Joni’s professional organized conflict resolving skills and her empowering supportive friendship gave me the courage and strength to voice my concerns about work related issues. The communication she coached me on has lead to the company organizing an entire meeting for all employees in order to get to the root cause of the work hostility. Joni is truly inspirational and looks for positivity in everything she does. She remains neutral for all parties involved to come to a mutual solution for those in need.

Hayley Martinie, Motorheads Bar and Grill

Joni is a one of a kind. She has the sweetest smile and an even sweeter soul. She looks for the best in everyone even when they don’t see it in themselves. This includes me. She knows when somethings wrong before I even mention anything. There have been more than enough times where I have had stuff on my mind and I was stuck and didn’t know what to do. Joni knew what to do. She helps you explore your own options instead of telling you what to do. She makes you notice how you’re feeling and works that into your healing process. She is so knowledgeable about the human mind and body, opening up and listening to her can really change the way you perceive anxiety and fear (along with many other things)! Joni is an amazing human with an amazing gift to help people. Partake in some self care and reach out to Joni
